Middleton artist dolls are designed for adult collectors, and have not been tested to meet the child safety standards for young children. The overall structure is not harmful for children, but less durable and dolls usually have many small delicate embellishments that could be a choking hazard for small children. Thus they bear the label 'Not a toy, for artful display'.
Note: The majority the dolls have soft bodies a few are full vinyl. The best way to determine the characteristic of the arms, legs and body is by viewing the outfit the doll wears. For the arms, if the sleeves are short showing the arms the arms are 3/4 to full vinyl- if the outfit covers the arm it is probably a soft arm with 1/4 vinyl hands or f the belly is showing the doll may be full vinyl. Be sure to read the descriptions. Newborns and infants styles the same applies for the legs. All Toddlers have full vinyl legs for standing.
